I have used Goolge Docs before I coming to this group project in IT645, which is really very impressive for beginning users of google applications. As you can see, 
it has word, ppt, spreadsheet, forms, drawings, all in one menu, which makes the working process become more convenient and fast. Those administrative software in Google Docs has lots of advantadges.
a. It simplizes the traditional application of software. For example, if you use Microsoft Office, you have to spend several minutes, even hours, to install software. But if you choose Google docs, just connect to the Internet, and sign in your google account, and open Document, then you will have everything in front of you~ You don’t have to install anything, you don’t have to worry about the specifications of your computer, you don’t need to worry about the version of the software you have purchased. So Cool, right~?
b. It is easy to operate. Because it has all the function of administrative software, the operation of Google docs are totally the same with other administrative software. You don’t need to learn how to use Google docs purposelly.
c. It is free! Google application has taken up most of the market just for its open source feature. It is totally free for your using Google docs. Just sign up your Goolge account, and then you will have all the services provided by Google online. A google account, you can have google docs, google group, google gmail. I think for Google, it’s aim is to collect all application under one account. “Owning one, own the world”.
d. I think lots of people prefer google docs for this advantage, it could be shared. That’s why we could work together through google docs and google groups.
As you can see above, by clicking on Share, it is easy for you to share any document in Google docs with your group members. And anyone you have invitation to this group could edit the document. For this group project, group members have been required to co-work on the story, which asked for a sharing of the story. The co-working process is really very good. Actually, besides IT645, in my other IT classes, like IT742, we also choose Google group and Google docs for group projects. Group members could have the responsibility for their own parts and for the whole project.
I, too, really like the fact that Google allows you to have access to these tools without having to worry about having tons of software installed on your computer. Some of my students don’t have access to Power Point, Excel, or other relatively expensive software at home.
That fact that Google docs provides so many resources for free has to be the greatest thing about it. I found all of your documents to be very well out together. I particularly enjoyed your presentation. The topic was very interesting and the setup of the slides looked very professional.
